Making 2D water?
Hello, Im starting at Unity and I have a good idea for my first project, but I need to make like 2D water (e.g. water like the one in "Feed me oil" (iphone game).
I am experimenting with several things, first thing I tried was to put a bunch of small spheres with the Z axis blocked and with no friction. It kinda worked but I dont know if its the right way to do it or if there is a way that do not use a lot of ram, becuase it lags a bit right now.
Please any info that you could give me will be helpful. Thanks and have a nice day.

I'd think something along the lines of particle effects could look a lot better and just make a system where it "Follows" a point that moves like water, then it gives the appearance, and it's 2D as well. By doing spheres, I'd expect that to put more pressure on the system then needed. Just play around with the particles and see what you can come up with and think of a way to solve it with it.
(I was thinking that you can have points that move like water and the particle system follows it spawning "Water" or something, may or may not work).
