Javascript and start Assets not available
I am using the Unity beta (2017.2.0b11) and whenever I try to create a new project, the assets like environment, characters, etc. are not available. When I opened up the new project, in the assets tab I could import them, but I can not add a javascript, whether created by right clicking in the Project tab, or making a new gameobject and a script for it, the only script I can make is a c# script.
It may be a Beta bug, but if so, I havent seen any other complaints about it.
There may be more bugs, but I havent seen them yet.

Try Re-installing Unity. There's an option in the installer that determines whether or not the standard assets are installed so make sure that's checked.
The good thing is that I had to move computers. i'll check for the assets, but it may be a Beta bug.
