Multiple Entrances to levels

Can anyone explain how to go to certain spawn points in a scene depending on where you entered from? For example, if I enter the scene from a "room" that's on the left, how do I make them spawn on the left of the screen and not the right or middle and if I enter the same room from the right, they should spawn on the right??

I should mention I'm working on 2D
