How to get Agent to Destroy Buildings and Fix Pathing?
I have generate a NavMesh and I have carved out the buildings in my NavMesh with the NavMesh obstacle component. The buildings have a functionality to shake, fall down, then destroy themselves, which opens up the NavMesh.
I want my agent to decide to take the gold path in the image because the cost of destroying the buildings and then walking the straight line path is better than walking the red line path. I'm not sure how to get this functionality with NavMesh other than using NavMesh links, and assigning a new area.
Is there a good way to approach this functionality while avoiding the use links? Can I give hints to A* to go through the buildings rather than to walk the long distance?
