Create extremely simple models within Unity?
Hello, I made a grass model in Unity except for the fact that it is not really a model because I simply made 13 slender cubes and grouped them together under an empty object called "Grass". Unity seems to be treating these all as separate child objects, can I just turn the empty grass object containing the 13 blades of grass into one object right in Unity? or will I have to go into blender and group them as one object? Thanks.

If you mark these objects as static, they will be built together so essentially making them 1 object. This would only work with maps created in the editor so it may or may not be enough depending on your game. Going to blender and creating a mesh wouldn't hurt so it's definitely worth the time to do it. There's also a Mesh.CombineMeshes method but it's a lot more work than combining with the right tool. Also you can check the asset store, see if there's anything useful.
