Can we have better Animation Clip Browsing?

the image says it all.

We foolishly followed the advice of older tutorials and named all animations clips with the "@" naming convention"

elf@idle, dwarf@attack, goblin@victory , etc

now when we are editing our mecanim controllers we get a useless list like the image shows yes, the full path of the selected clip is displayed at the bottom...but there are sooo many clips with the same name it compromises efficient workflow.

Is there anyway to show the full path in this window? is this particular window exposed to unity editor scripting? can we get it to display better information here?
