Unity performance boost for your builds
While working on my project, quite expensive in term of physics, meshes and high-end textures, I realized recently that my drive was really messy. I'm a good PC-boy so I ran a defrag tool. Then I noticed that for each build created by Unity engine, the new files are totally messy and fragmented. After a quick defrag, I could see an impressive boost in performances for the same build.
I don't really have time to benchmark it, but did anyone noticed? If confirmed, that's really a 2c improvement ;°)
Happy builds!
EDIT >>>>>
This remark appears no longer true with Unity 3.5 that I just tested. New builds files aren't fragmented at all. So Uniy devs did notice!
