How to get Idle animation to play when not moving and walk animation to play when walking.
Hi
I have been tasked with creating characters for our simulation project. What I was wondering was what is the best way to have it so that the idle animation gets played when stood still and the walk cycle animation gets played once the FP Character starts moving.
I presume this would involve writing some script but i not sure were to start. Any help or links to some tutorials would be appreciated.
Thanks

@tscsimulation_CW You need a script to control animators graph. Script can move your character, and script can also change states in animator's graph... which in turn play animations. Also, speed of movement can be used to control, what state the animator is in. See the basics tutorials: https://unity3d.com/learn/tutorials/topics/animation/animator-controller
