How to detect that particle collided with other particle from thesame Particle System (workaround?)
Hello,
(short vesion: )
If a particle from Particle System intersects from another particle from THESAME(!) Particle System I want to kill that particle. How?
(long version: )
I'm shooting a stream of particles at gameobject(s).
Particles that hit gameobject stick to its surface (no problem with that).
Now...
I need to prevent any other particle from the same Particle System from sticking in place of previous
particle so it creates something like a layer of particles, 1 particle thick.
At the same time i want to keep the particle stream flowing.
Normally I would do something like: on particle collision/trigger, check tag/layer/name or something, if it is a particle from thesame Particle System - kill it.
But suprise suprise.... particles don't collide with other particles :/ so it is out of the question.
I'm haveing a bit of a headache with this.
