Switching scenes when going out of rest mode

Hi I am developing an app for the Oculus Go. If you use the oculus go and then just put it away it enters some kind of restmode. What I want is for it to select a predetermined scene when it starts again.

Ive tried using a sort of timer with Time.time but this time does not tick while the device is in the rest mode.

Is there an easy solution to this I am missing?
