Why does Unity not import materials from DAE file ?
I'm trying to upload a DAE file (Exported from SketchUp) into Unity3D.
It imports the meshes, but all of them are grey. I guess it imports materials too, but all materials become grey or something. Here are the pictures of what I mean :

How can I import the materials with colors (or textures) ?

Unity takes the material info on import as well, it just doesn't bring in the maps at the same time (as this constitutes a separate import)
just import the texture map as a new asset
then assign the map to the material slot of the texture that is on the DAE
if you have several maps/material on one model then you will have to repeat as necessary
O$$anonymous$$ I did it by importing the texture .png files in "Textures" Folder, then assigning Textures to materials one by one. But is there an automatic way for Unity to find textures for materials? They are the same name, so it shouldn't be impossible, I guess.
Not sure about Skethup but in the FBX exporter options in $$anonymous$$AYA you can choose Embed $$anonymous$$edia to include the map in the FBX as one overall file (one .fbx includes model + maps)
In the $$anonymous$$AYA DAE exporter this option does not appear to exist
