How many usb joysticks can i connect to a pc?

Hi. I wanto to make a party game with like 16 joysticks. I don't wanna buy those if Windows 7 (for example) only accept 4 max joystics conected.

Can anyone anwser this?

ps: I intend to buy some usb hubs to connect them all.
