Particles to not be affected by main camera?
I'm creating a top-down 2D RPG. I have a main camera that follows the player around when they move. I'm trying to create a snow/rain effect that basically just acts as an image stretched across the UI.
I created another camera to record the particle effects since I want them to act as a UI graphic. The particles should not exist in the game space and should instead act as a UI effect. The easiest way seemed to be to record the particles and relay that recording to a texture which is then stretched across the canvas. This works perfectly when I'm standing still. However, whenever I move my character the particles also try to move in that direction with the main camera.
I can confirm it's definitely the particles and not the particle camera, the emitter doesn't move either. So for example if I move my player upward the snow will start moving upward when instead they should just continue off the screen regardless of anything. I have no idea why the particles are trying to follow the main camera. I've tried everything with their settings including changing the simulation space, etc. How can I fix this?
