Vuforia - UI that overlays on top of ARCamera
I don't seem to be able to get a UI that gets layered on top of the ARCamera.
What I want is to have static buttons and UI elements that overlay the ARCamera's rendering. However, after trying numerous approaches, I cannot achieve something that I'd guess would be rather common.
I found a Youtube video that mentioned this issue and had a workaround that involved a second non-ARCamera and culling settings on each camera being modified and disabling GUILayer component on one and not the other. However... that GUILayer component just got deprecated :/ So this no longer works.
Anyone else having this problem or solved this problem?
Yes, I did solve it, but this was several months back and I can't remember the specifics and how I solved it. I believe I solved it without having to mess with the GUILayer component. I'll check the project and see if I can pinpoint how I solved it or what I was doing wrong.
Thank you! I think I solved it by adding an extra camera and using it only for displaying GUI elements on the canvas. ARCamera is responsible for displaying everything else.
