How to make a sprite that change its texture when you go behind it?
Me and my team where thinking of making a 3D game with pixel art sprites and i was thinking is there a way to make a sprite that can change its texture from front to back. For example imagine there is a pixel art human in front of you and you start walking closer to it and then when you get behind it... it changes its texture to its back. Please someone help me :( ALSO how can we make a sprite glow? Like its textures are bright and it gives light? Thanks for reading and i hope someone could help me...Also if it has like options to be like "Sprite front :[texture]", "Sprite back :[texture]" will help even more. Thanks again!
I think your simplest option is going to be to use two sprites (with backface culling on), located in the same position and facing opposite directions. You can create one, then make a prefab out of it, and use that as a template for others.
Glow: complex subject, not very easy to do. I would suggest taking a look at existing asset store stuff meant for this. If you still want to give it a shot, check this out: https://unity3d.com/learn/tutorials/topics/graphics/emissive-materials
