Incorrect touch input on Android device
This happens on both the Android remote and when built to the device (it isn't an android remote issue).
When you have two touches on the screen and they are both low down on the screen the touch input positions are vastly incorrect. The touches have to be between the bottom of the screen and the first 20px up on an 800x480 screen (Nexus one). It seems to read out that the second touch (if low on the screen and to the right) is at x = 61.31571 on a 800x480 sized game screen. And this x value is constant even if moving the finger slightly around (not above y=20 and not too far left).
Has anyone encountered this before? If not the same positions of touches then at least incorrect readings of the touch input? We're unsure as to whether this is a unity issue or an Android issue but would really like some guidance on any possible fixes.
I've made a really simple project for you to look at and see what I mean. I've also added a video that I made for someone I know. You should also find it useful - it's just me demonstrating an earlier version of this project. It can be found, along with the parallel Unity forums post about this issue at this link: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/113675-Incorrect-touch-input-on-Android-device?p=755726#post755726
(I've also bug reported it to Unity case no: 430718)
Thanks for any help you can provide!
