Animation window not showing current gameobject animations

Hi folks,

I have a fps controller inside a gameObject named "Player". My purpose is to anime "Player" (who's wrapping the fps controller, putting the player on a rail, so a player can't move by itself). So I attached the animator and animation component to "Player" gameobject. Then I edited 3 animations for this one. Everything is working fine so fare, but when I try to reopen an animation, by clicking on "Player" gameObject, nothing is displayed in the animation window but a "Create" button...

This is a many times asked question for previous unity versions (I'm using unity 5) - and a persistant bug it seems - but none of the solutions proposed on other threads worked for me... :

  • Deactivate the animator component on the game object.

  • Copy all animations clip to an other folder / delete the source files / recreate empty animations with the same names to re-generate paths between the gameObject and the animations / replace the new animations by the old ones

Does any of you folks have a solution? : ) ?
