Why reusing the unmodified unity-generated androidmanifest.xml in a split apk doesn't work
Hi, Our game's apk has crossed the 100Mb limit a long time ago, so we use split apk. Until recently, we had no problem with that (installing them manually worked). To use a third party library (which one is irrelevant for now), I had to create an androidmanifest.xml to add some options. The unsplit apk works perfectly with that manifest, the 3rd party library included. From that moment on, impossible to have the split version work on manual installation (no clue about installing from google's servers yet, had no time to test that yet).
And now for the very weird part: Even if I just use the androidmanifest.xml generated by unity, without changing anything in it, the game doesn't find its data.
Tried it on Samsung S7, Galaxy Note 4 and HTC M8 with no result.
Tried to remove the android:maxSdkVersion="18", no result either.
The phones do ask for the access permissions, anyways, but the data's not found.
Anyone got that problem already ?
EDIT :
I've discovered that this log only appeared in the working version (the one with the unity-generated manifest):
Unity : [VFS] Mount /storage/emulated/0/Android/obb/com.osg.takeoff/main.15.com.osg.takeoff.obb
It looks like the app forgot it had an obb
