No mac build option on PC?
I'm running unity 5.3.0 on a 64 bit windows 7 machine and really all I'm trying to do is make a build for mac. I've made a pc build easily enough, but when i go into build settings to select the mac option it simply isn't there.
I'm sure there's something simple that I've overlooked, but did something change with the way builds are made? Is there a new plugin or architecture setting? surely I don't need to own a mac to make a mac build... I've included a screenshot for clarification.

Hi @TSI25 ,
In the Unity 5.3, you have to select the mac build support manually at the time of installation. Then only you will be able to see that. By default that option will be un-check, and you have to select that option. Same in the case of many other options :
You can also re-run the installation *.exe for the same exact version after install. Doing this won't show what you already have installed. Select only the new component you want installed. In this case, uncheck everything except $$anonymous$$ac Build Support. This just worked great for me.
do i need to reinstall unity so that i get the mac support or there are other means to install ?

For anyone looking for a solution in more recent days, you can easily add the Mac module through Unity Hub if you use it.
Installs -> Three dots -> Add Modules -> Mac Build Support -> Done

since 5.3 you have to download one module each target platform. check the Unity menu at the top.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem for Unity 5.6? I'm not showing any Mac under Target Platform and can't find the download assistant. Seems like the old way has changed and you have the "Open Download Page" for targets which aren't yet installed.
Thanks in advance for any help.
SOLVED: Ins$$anonymous$$d of downloading the Editor you need to download the Installer which is the "Download Assistant." With that you get a list of build add-ons you want to install...including $$anonymous$$ac separately.
How can we download that "Download Assistant" ? Where is its setup?
