Legality of using answers in production
Is it legal or illegal to use the answers in the forums in production? I think this is commonplace, but I want to stay on the right side of the law.
As far as I'm concerned, something a person posts into a publicly accessible forum, is not protectable in any way.
The tips and code people give you here are what they want the public (and you) to have, otherwise they wouldn't have posted them here.
If someone tells you one way to make plain lemonade, and you happen to start a company that outsells Sprite, they surely can't sue you. There are so many ways to peel an orange, press the the juice, add some sweet stuff, add sparkling water, bottle shapes, logos, etc..
You can treat this forum like a really long, messy and sometimes useless school class where you pick the schedule.
