How to expose other components fields

Is there any way to expose (public) fileds of components attached to selected GameObject? What I would like to do is to make some component, for triggering fields values change to defined in this component on GameObject destoy: ie. pick some GameObject with RigidBody attached and change field "useGravity" to "true". So that after this object will get destroyed, another object will have turned on it's gravity. I want it to be universal in spite of writing small script with some published method for each field I would like to change.

I hope that I was clear enough. Thanks in advance for help.
