I can't install Unity 2017.3 on my computer.
Help, I can't install neither the Download Assistant nor the Setup for Unity. Both of the executables download, however the download assistant won't run when clicked, even with Administrator permissions and the setup (UnitySetup64-2017.3) returns an error on run:
UnitySetup64-2017.3.0f3.exe - Application Error The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b). Click OK to close the application.
I chose the free version of Unity. Please help!
I had to use another computer with a different Windows license, as Windows 10 Enterprise versions are not compatible with any Unity installers and do not work. I managed to install Unity, however, on a Windows 10 Pro license, on any versions, using either the Download Assistant or directly the Unity Setup. Windows 10 Pro is compatible on 64-bit with Unity.
Resolved the issue by re-running the Windows 10 Creators update and selecting the option to keep all apps and user data.
Now the latest version of Unity works.
I'm not using Windows 10 Creators Update. Still does not work.
Windows 10 Enterprise. Currently installing Unity on Windows 10 Pro, which fortunately seems to work now with the Download Assistant on the latest personal version.
