How i make flare/shine bullets like in Battlefield?

Hello, I would like to ask if anyone knows how to make the effect of illuminating/flare bullets. Can i use some shaders? I have Unity3D PRO.

I was inspired in Battlefield 3

yes... It's not like at the picture. It's like flying bulb :D

Hi.

In my games i usually use particle systems, because it's easy and cool-looking. Just make a particle system, design it the way you want and attach it to your bullet prefab. You can make almost any kind of effect with it, it's pretty dynamic.
