Controlling animations with xbox controller
I want to map controls to an xbox controller for a game I want to make. Lets say I make an animation of a guy moving his arm up in the air. If I hold the back trigger all the way, the animation would go all the way and the guys arm would be in the air. But, if I only held it half way, is there a way to make it so that his arm only goes half way? So the percentage of the animation that played would depend on how far you pushed the trigger. Anyone know how to do this or if it's even possible? Thanks
Getting a % from an xbox controller, or any controller for that matter, is just an Input.GetAxis() away. Controlling animations should be easy enough, but I have no clue how animations work because I'm a programmer, not an artist >.<
Try looking in the scripting reference's animation section for ideas. Perhaps Blend an idle at (1 - input) with a full up at (input)?
