Try making a list (whatever type you're wondering about) and print A[1]. See if you get the 1st or second item.

But, if it helps, C# is a real program$$anonymous$$g language. It handles indexes in the standard way.

$$anonymous$$aking a quick test isn't obvious, and easy to forget. I still sometimes spend too much time guessing and searching, when I realize I could have spent 5 $$anonymous$$utes setting up a clean test.

They are 0 based. Count will start with one however if the list has any items in it.

From MSDN if you cared to look it up:

Elements in this collection can be accessed using an integer index. Indexes in this collection are zero-based.
