Shuriken particles are flickering.
So, I'm working on a particle system for a projectile trail using Shuriken, and occasionally the whole particle system will flicker. I've never seen anything like this with systems on an unmoving object.
The system is emitting at a rate of 400 right now, but the flicker still occurs when I drop it as low as 30 or 40. The system is set to emit in worldspace, and the projectile is moving pretty fast. The projectile stops emitting as soon as it hits something, and the particle system doesn't seem to flicker until it's done emitting, but this may be coincidence. The shader on the particle is Additive (Soft).
Has anyone seen anything similar, or have any ideas? Video of the flickering can be seen here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/72918098/Screen%20Recording.mov

I had a transform-scaled sphere shaped emitter that was flickering for a few seconds after it would get enabled AND if it was the child of something that was moving.
I was able to prevent the flickering from happening by returning the scale of the transform to 1, 1, 1.
