Unity3d : Sofbodies/Cloth Physx
i would like to know when will unity3d support for cloth and softbodies physx?? till now there's no softbodies and cloth!! it should be support!! do anuone know when will unity3d support them?? and they will??
why should some one vote this down. he wants to know the reason. other engines like DX and torque added this and some new users wnat to know why it's not available on unity yet.
I didn't vote it down, but my guess why anyone would do it is 1) because basically it's a feature request -> out of place, 2) why does a normal question have to be asked in such an agitated manner? with "??" and "!!" after every half-sentence? -.-

If you are asking this question in good faith you should probably reword it. This is not the website to request for features or to complain.
The correct place to ask for features is feedback.unity3d.com. If someone else has already asked for your favorite feature all you need to do is vote for it.
Not surprisingly, this feature was already requested (specifically, the request is to "Upgrade PhysX"). It's a quite popular request, judging from the number of votes. Someone from Unity Tech. even added a comment to explain why this upgrade would be complicated: "newer PhysX versions are not fully backwards compatible in behaviour with the one we use (we can't just break the existing web games)." But also that they are planning to look into it when (not if) the Unity web player is branched.

there is only one problem. the size of unity's web player will increase much if they want to support it. if they don't add physx to main web player then some games will need another add on (other than web player) to install. i think it will become a big problem in future if unity guys don't think about it. they are genius and i am sure they will make the best decision. higgy b has much experience about things like this. also there is a ticket about this in feedback. here. i think they should seporate features of unity for standalone games and web games or maybe add extensions to web player for some game spesific features.
