Is Unity Optimization Bad?

Please excuse me for writing in Korean because I am poor in English.

이번 한국에서 열린 NDC강연에서 한 강연자가 "유니티는 무거워서 최적화가 힘들기 때문에 고려하지 않았다"란 말을 했는데요.

제가 아직 유니티에 입문한지 얼마 되지 않아서 이해를 못하겠습니다. 유니티는 빌드할 때, 필요없는 부분은 제외시키지 않는 건가요?

즉, 2D게임을 만들면 3D관련 부품(component)들은 필요없으니, 당연히 빌드할 때는 제외가 되어서 빌드되는 것이 옳지 않느냐는 말입니다.

C#이 C++보다 느리니 어느정도는 이해하지만 그 외의 문제라면 저 정도의 반응은 심각한건 아닐까요?

유니티의 많은 장점 중 하나가 많은 부품들의 조합아니었나요? 필요한 부품만 조합되어 빌드된다면 더이상의 최적화도 없을텐데요.
