AppleTV persistanceDataStorage
Hello everyone!
We are developing app for AppleTV and try to figure out how to store data. We have some critical data which we need to store like data about authenticated user, then cached data like some temporary pictures and then big video content which can user download on other platforms like ios/win/mac on disk. On other platforms we works mostly on Application.persistentDataPath. On AppleTV we get UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path ... is denied. If we switch to work in Application.temporaryCachePath , after that all works. But we are not sure how danger is to use this. We need at least some critical data to persist like logged user info etc. Please do somebody know where on AppleTV store:
Small app settings data
Temporary files
Big Media files (1-4GB) which user downaloded for offline use or because of bad connection quality for streaming
In case of temporary data use, are there some rules when system delete files? Or at least if app is on foreground, system will not remove data?
Thanks Jiri.
