Exporting sub-object level animation from 3dsMax - editable poly.
Hi,
I have an editable poly model animated at the sub-object level in Max. I have keyframes on sets of polygons with rotation & translation etc. applied. The model has no bones.
Am I able to get this animation in to Unity? I've tried importing the .MAX file and exporting as an .FBX but the anims don't seem to be carried over. Is there a way to 'bake in' the animation?
Many thanks

You can import animation of individual objects. You can't import animation of individual polygons (and animations of similar levels).

You need to use the point cache file option on export.
