Controlling 'scrubbing' of animation in game
Im trying to find ways to control animation like scrubbing thru a timeline. Dragging a slider, or interactive object in game might begin an animation of a hand reaching out, grabbing a door handle, turning it and releasing. But stopping midway or dragging the slider back, changing speed, etc will stop, reverse, speed up/slow down the animation as well. The example Im thinking of specifically from What Remains Of Edith Finch, but have seen this kind of thing in other games.
How can this be done? or if theres a few ways, what would be the the most efficient? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Answering for anyone else interested. Linear Drive script/demo in the steamVR folder structure seems to do the above.
