Try these steps:
1 Make sure you have DirectX installed:
Go to this site to install it (if broken let me know or fix it :)):
Follow the instructions to install DirectX.
2 Update your graphics card drivers:
The right place to get them depend on the brand of your machine. Start by visiting your computer manufacter's site (i.e dell, hp, acer, etc.) If you can't find anything try these:
3 Test that your video card works:
In Windows open a "Run As.." dialog by holding the Windows Key + "R". When the dialog opens type "dxdiag" (without quotes) and press OK. Switch to the "Display" tab and verify that "DirectDraw Acceleration", "Direct3D Acceleration" and "AGP Texture Acceleration" are enabled.
I did all three # said that i could support 3D graphics but then i try to play games that require 3D graphics a box pops up that reads "failed to initialize with 3D settings" im using a Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family but the driver 3D options does not support the changing of directX settings...... i have done everything i can do im starting to think in just screwed PLZ help! im running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit i have checked the system requirements and ik the game can run on my computer

I had the same problem with my notebook, and it seems running it as an administrator solves it

nah..use what you want, but XP is the most intelligent and the safest windows you can use...
No do not use XP. It's 10 year old and outdated now. Using xp is the same as using IE6(or any IE for that matter). Only illiterate people do that.

Is there any other way to solve this problem except update graphics card drivers?Maybe some game players dont know or dont want to update their graphics card drivers.
