2 frame animation?

Hi,

Im making a simple first person game, and need some help with animation.

What I want to achieve is to have two images alternate to create a simple animation, sort of like in Doom 1. Would I be able to use a gif for this, or do I need to have a script to alternate the images? If I need a script, would someone please write one for me?

Thanks in advance, and I know that this is probably a noob question. Its my first time using Unity!

It is great that you started using Unity but, you must understand that only very few are willing to write your code for you. Scripting is an essential in Unity something you must know in order to create a cool game and therefor you are better of learning and writing your own scripts rather than making others create it for you.

Asking people to write your code is generally not accepted or approved of.

If you want to learn to write your own scripts I have a nice linky for you.

Yes, you'll need a script to decide which frame to show when, unless you just want the two frames to alternate forever, then you can make it in the Animation window.
