Why am I getting uv mapping displacement with imported meshes
Okay if anyone can help that would be great, I have been importing a character into my scene and every time I get displacement of my uv mapping. It only happens on certain areas but it is recurring. Does anyone have any ideas for fixing this. My mesh came from Maya 2013, I have added a a screen shot.
Here is the screen shot I noticed it didn't make it to the original post

looks like its where there is supposed to be facial hair, try switching the shader to a transparent cutout out shader, the stadard diffuse shader doesnt support an alpha channer so transparent parts of your texture will show up black where as in another program such as maya it may be invisible and therefore go unnoticed that there were faces there.
