Project broke when Unity updated
So I've been working on a project in Unity 5.0.0f1, and have been keeping the core files on a flashdrive. I do this since I have both a laptop and a desktop, both Windows 8.1. My desktop decided to auto-update to Unity 5.0.0f4 recently, and whenever I fire up the file, it first says it has to go back to the default window layout. That wouldn't be a problem normally, but after loading the project, I instantly notice a list of problems.
(Note: I'm working on a 2D project)
Most scenes are broken and empty, or the objects within it are broken.
Some prefabs show up as blank files, while others don't
Animations also show up as blank files
If there is a way to downgrade back to the previous version, then I'd be fine with it. Reinstalling Unity wouldn't be a problem either. So if anyone could help me, please do. I know Unity updates mess up stuff sometimes, but I've never had anything like this.
I had the same problem when I tried to open a project modified using 5.0.1 in 5.0.0. Since your desktop is updated to 5.0.0f4. update your other systems as well. If not try updating to 5.0.1.
I had the same problem: scene were empty and objects missed. Looks like a real Unity-Upgrading Issue. I will keep you up-to-date

I figured out that you can go view the past Unity builds, and Unity 5.0.1 is on there. So it's all better now.
