Monodevelop starts, and then instantly stops responding.
Monodevelop won't allow me to program, and everytime I start it up, it stops responding, and then crashes. It worked roughly a week ago, but all of the sudden it stopped working. I uninstalled and re-installed, but nothing changed. I am using Unity3D v5, and Monodevelop v4.0.1. Unity works just fine, allowing me to create new projects, save projects, import files, etc, but Monodevelop keeps crashing at boot up. If someone can help me, i'd appreciate it.
It's not a direct answer to your question but I would suggest using Visual Studio as your environment. https://www.visualstudio.com/vs/unity-tools/
$$anonymous$$ono, is well... $$anonymous$$ono... It's not a very good ID$$anonymous$$ It's buggy and I have had personal cases with mono of Intellesense not working, not saving classes, tossing errors when there were none.
But if he is using $$anonymous$$onoDevelop is because he doesn't want to use Visual Studio. It would be the same thing if i made a question saying that Unity isn't opening and someone just commented "go to unreal". But i got your point, at least he does have VS to help.
He never said he wanted to use only $$anonymous$$ono, maybe he has no idea about other IDE's. It's a suggestion to fix his problem and it's a better environment all around.
Regardless, I have experienced issues with $$anonymous$$ono and have moved to VS, that's what fixed my issues with mono 'I stopped using it' So that was my answer to the question.
Would you by convenience have a change log or something? Can you remember something that you added to a project of yours OR your computer before opening mono develop again?
Do this apply to all of your projects or just one? This is a vague question because there are no errors =\
