How to go about swinging a bell back and forth base on impact.

I'm not sure exactly what keywords to use for a proper search yet alone how to go about this. I have a bell object / model in the scene that is attached to a solid "station." What I pretty much want to happen is that if a player throws something at the bell, it swings back and forth depending on where the bell got hit. however the bell is always anchored (at the top).

Any direction on how to go about this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
