The Pause of Death - Unity's system freeze causes many issues.
This is less of a question, and more a cry out to unity developers to fix this issue. I don't want to go through the motions of creating a bug report as its long and tedious and I just don't have that kind of time.
But I have to comment on this.
That pause, that comes after you have completed changing a script and click back on unity editor, and wait for it to update, Does NOT stop actions from occurring. I cannot count how many times I have incidentally dragged a folder or a gameobject from its place into another folder inadvertently.
And I know I am not alone on this.
Please stop ALL ACTIONS from the time recompiling starts, to the time it ends from being registered. Mouse clicks, drags keyboard presses... These can seriously mess up a project. Last week I thought I had major data corruption. Just a mess of problems. It turned out, I Accidentally dragged my scenes folder into another folder and saved afterwords creating a duplicate scene. Scene loading was a nightmare after that.
Please grab this bull by the horns and fix it. And if someone has the time to submit a bug request or feature request on my behalf, I would applaud you and thank you with all my heart.
