Occlusion Culling Not Working on Imported 3D models
I am working in Unity with imported models from 3DS Max (originally from Revit) and I set the model to Occluder and Occludee Static and have tried baking it with every combination of the settings, getting similar problems each time.
At first it looks like the culling is working, but in certain areas of the model walls will disappear/reappear, and objects will fail to load or disappear/reappear like the walls.
I read somewhere that this could be a problem with the materials, but I set them all to a very basic default material and it made it worse (the floors stopped rendering underneath me).
Has anyone had a similar issue or any ideas on how to fix this?
in import settings try calculating normals ins$$anonymous$$d of importing the normals.
