baked lighting with realtime shadows
Hi all,
I am trying to get a scene set up with baked lighting but to also have real time moving objects with shadows.
If I have mixed mode lighting it looks good but not great :
If I use baked lighting it looks great :
Everything looks solid and grounded, the shadows are much softer and the whole scene looks generally better. But my moving objects (eg. the yellow ball) do not have any lighting or shadows. If I add a real time light to the scene with shadows it affects the baked lighting too, brightening it up and making the colors look over saturated.
I have tried using culling masks and layers (one layer named Static and the other named Dynamic) but while this corrects the lighting it means the ball cannot cast a shadow on the Static layer.
I might be asking for the impossible here (and Lord knows I have looked for a solution to no avail) but if dynamic and static objects cannot be combined in a baked/realtime scene then I do wonder what the point of baked lighting is?
Thanks in advance.
