UA broken - bugs
I can't answer questions, and constantly have issues with authentication. Always telling me I am already logged in as an error whenever I try to take an action. I can't even answer a question right now because of errors. Of course it also deleted the answer I was working on. Is there a plan to fix this, or should I just not even bother logging in? If you're seeing this I was at least able to ask a question...
Overall, Unity Answers is being run to failure (which sounds bad, but I agree with it.) Way back UA was pretty important as a technical resource for Unity's paying customers -- it filled in the gaps and oddness of early Unity. That's not needed much anymore. In the past someone from Unity would have followed up and asked you for details. That was a good use of $35/hour back when paid subscribers needed this as a resource.
I'm not seeing any of the problems you describe, but they used to happen lots in the past. $$anonymous$$ight be your browser, ISP, switching computers. Jumping between forums and UA used to cause a problem. Your Qs might be being deleted on purpose. For me it seemed arbitrary and never lasted more than a week.
Thanks for commenting on this, but could you elaborate; Why isn't this needed anymore? Is there some new method to communicate with the unity community?
From what I read it seems like a numbers game But it seems like more mods would also help cut down on the junk.
Unity Answers was like StackExchange when it started. Including the complaints about "unfairly" rejected Qs. But it eventually got flooded with junk Qs (pretty much the way it is now,) tools weren't getting better, and most of the $$anonymous$$ods quit about 3 years ago. We used to have a moderation queue but ditched it since Qs just piled up for days then got mass accepted.
As far as not being needed - it's more like not needed as much. Docs are better, things people never understood got rewritten, more people blog about it, many useful answers in it are still useful now. If you have a technical Q, this is probably still your best bet, internet-wise.
So it's a combination - high difficulty of fixing (mostly the social parts) and not-as-high need to fix.
I've logged some bugs with Unity staff. They'll be expressed to dZone who handle the site.

I personally get some bugs, like non-appearing captcha on edits that still prevent posting. Broken top-right search on the magnifier icon. "User Already Logged In" and one or two other $$anonymous$$ors.

Also the site has been slow lately from time to time and went down completely once or twice over the last month.
It's literally every page I visit telling me "user has already logged in." Including pages like the "Unable to execute your request" one I see every time I try to answer a question.
It happened to me because I'd logged in through my phone and not specifically logged out before going back to Desktop PC

Bugs were logged with Unity Staff who addressed them with dZone.
