Moving a character depending on where it is facing.
I am working on a game where the user will go forward to wherever the "front" of the character is facing. I am completely new to game development, but I do have some experience with programming. I have also look for one elsewhere, but all of them use Rigidbody
, and the character falls face first on the floor. Any help is appreciated.
Edit: It is a 3d game.

Well it really depends on what you're looking for, is it a 2d game or 3d first to start off.
That's fine we live and learn, now is your character going to be like a third person, over top of him, or First person?
This is if you didn't import Characters yet. 1. Open Up Project 2. Go to Assets in the top right-hand corner 3. Assets > Import Package > Characters 4. Should Decompress and wait for it 5. A window should pop that says 'Characters' click import in the bottom corner of it 6. It should be writing package items and compiling 7. Once it's done you should have a folder called 'Standard Assets' open it 8. You should have another folder called Characters and open that 9. From that, you can pick rolling ball, Third person, and First person. 10. Once you open one of them click on the Prefabs folder inside it 11. Now you have 2 in each except the rolling ball, now click on one and drag it into the Scene 12. If you're stuck and can't move go into the editor and move your character up he's stuck in the ground.
Oh. $$anonymous$$y. God. Thank you so much, this saved so much time of program$$anonymous$$g. Thank you so much.
If this is not what you are looking for I can still try helping you with this it just may be a little harder.
