How should I be handling animations when the game is paused (aka Timescale is 0)?
I have a game with character attack animations. When I pause the game, Time.timescale is set to 0. The problem is that this gets the character stuck mid-animation, and they stay in that position when the game is unpaused. I could use Unscaled Time on the animator but that would obviously mean that the animation keeps playing in the pause screen, which shouldn't happen. Ideally I just want the animation to resume from its last position when the game is unpaused.
How do people generally deal with this?

So you want your object to continue the animation after Timescale is back to 1? Or what?
Essentially yeah, or if I need to cheat, play the animation again and set a particular frame in the animation to start at.
