Mesh broken up into several pieces, how do I apply texture?
I downloaded this model of a sarcophagus that was 3d scanned at some museum, used an online converter from .stl to .obj, and imported it as an asset into Unity. Turns out it's made up of like 1,000,000 vertices and Unity couldn't handle it as one mesh so it split it up into 7. When I try to apply the textures that came with the model, it only shows up as sporadic gray dots in the scene view. I've also tried applying the texture to all 7 meshes at once and tried getting Unity to discover the texture file on its own (no luck). Is there a solution to this? Is the problem even with the meshes? (I'm thinking it could be that the conversion software messed up the UV mapping, maybe?)

Sounds like the UVs need to be updated. It could very well be the conversion software missing or messing up something. Try examining the .obj in a 3d modeling program, and update the UVs if needed.

Try to make it 7 times rougher using blender or any 3d modeling software
