Error deploying with HoloLens emulator

Hi,

I'm trying to deploy a basic scene into the HoloLens emulator but I always get this error: ''you do not have permission to modify internal Hyper-V network adapter settings, which are required to run the emulator'.'

I have Hyper-V enable on Win 10 Enterpise, and I have administrator permissions. I'm not sure what else I should be checking.

I'm working with Unity 2017.3.0f3 and Visual Studio 2017.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Teresa.

I'm having the same issue. I press retry and it seems to go ahead, but the emulator screen is all black :S Not sure if this error is causing it.

Hi,

I finally got it working the next day after I enabled the Hyper-V, not sure what made it work then and not before.

About the black screen I read it might be a memory issue, Try closing everything else including Unity before hitting play and then wait a couple of $$anonymous$$utes after pushing the retry. It takes a little bit to charge the app so be patient.

Hope it helps! Teresa.

Hi Teresa,

Thank you very much for the advise; I'll definitley try that. By the way, how did you enable the Hyper-V? I've been trying to look for resources online on how to do this, but without much luck. Any information you could point me to would be super helpful.

Thanks! Rafael

Hi Rafael!

I followed this post from $$anonymous$$icrosoft but it is in spanish.

This is what I did in case you don't understand it:

  1. Open cmd as ad$$anonymous$$istrator.

  2. Write: DIS$$anonymous$$ /Online /Enable-Feature /All /FeatureName:$$anonymous$$icrosoft-Hyper-V

  3. Press enter

  4. Then remenber to restart the PC

I hope it helps you!

Teresa.
