Vive Controller getting and Index
I've been building for a couple of days and something started acting a bit odd. I had to re-download the steamVR assets and now I can't get the code attached to controllers to work anymore.
If I attach the player script to the CameraRig and create hands I'm able to see the hands. I can also teleport because apparently the hands handle that.
However, I had previously had code that I attached to the controllers. This code no longer works because my controllers are never initializing. Their index never changes like it's supposed to on the controller even though on the camerarig I see 2 things added to the object tag for tracking the controllers.
Am I doing something wrong to cause them to not get an index and become active or become inactive depending on how you view it since I have them checked to be on and the system turns them off? I need those button click checks for other things to work.

In addition, I just attempted a completely brand new project with a new download of s$$anonymous$$mVR to see if anything was messed up. And in the brand new project and scene I dragged the CameraRig prefab and the S$$anonymous$$mVR prefab in. I turned it on and neither controller ever became active even though they both where turned on.
