How do topics work?
It seems that they are required, but you (I) can't create new ones and the name space is very sparse - I failed trying UI, User Interface, (in fact anything with 'U') and also Input. Finally tried every letter and the only thing that was suggested as a match was "Strange IoC" so I settled for that...

As far as I know, topics are something we half-added and then gave up on. I sort of remember people talking about how Qs should be sorted into topics, and we should make every Q have good ones, but then we realized we can't even sort Qs into 2 topics (good/bad) so gave up. "Strange IoC?" The fact that topic even exists proves we don't care about topics.
If there are no topics any longer, how can we ask questions? A topic is required to post a question.
There are plenty of topics. But since no one cares, just select one without thinking too hard. Compare to Forums, which is arranged by topic.
