Sprites vs 3D in 2D platformer game
The question is, why should we use sprites when creating 2d platformer game in unity? I mean that we can make all our characters move just in X and Y axis, without creating sprites. Or modern android devices will work too slow if we create our 2D platformer entirely using 3d models? For me when using toon shaders there is no any difference between sprite animation and 3D animation...Hope you understand the question)
