Best way to display maps?
I'm currently trying to make a 2D game that uses maps as a tool for primary interaction.
The map is large, so the player will have to use things like pinch & zoom, dragging and such.
I currently have 2 ideas for this:
1. Use 3D mode and change camera viewpoint
2. Change map scale/location
I will need to overlay objects on the map and overlay UI elements onto screen(Fixed location on screen), so I need to take those into account too.
Which one should I use? Or, do you have better solutions for my situation?
*I'm basically a newbie in Unity, but I have enough experience in C# for the scripting part. *Thanks in advance
