2d side scroller car racing game, can't manage to understand swipe down to forcefully land on ground
I am trying to create a 2d side scrolling racing game. Where my ground is a random 2d terrain. I want to create an effect where when car is in air and user swipes down the screen. The car just forcefully lands to the ground. My issue is that either the car misses the ground and just penetrate through it or the force is too much for it that it just can't land properly (lands upside down etc)
I am using rigidbody2d.AddForce and Force Mode impulse. I have tried changing gravity, mass and even tried changing velocity directly but just can't get it working. The landing in usual cases is way too slow. High force make car penetrate in ground, I have checked the collision mode continuous which solves penetration issue but the car is very unstable when a huge force is applied.
